Disguises

We thought we found out the cause of our basement flooding. We thought it was caused by a crack in the water heater (the water was pooled around the water heater and furnace, but that is the lowest part in the basement). So we turned off the water to the hot water heater and waited. No more water. sigh. This means that we had to turn off our hot water heater until we can afford a new one. I did find one at our local Lowes that sells a Whirlpool 6th Sense 40 Gallon Water Heater (natural gas) for $335 +tax.

BUT it turns out, hours after we emptied the water heater and turned off the water source...there was a bigger puddle than before. Although, we did find out (God must have sensed our frustration) that it was a little SOAPY! Looked behind the washing machine and low and behold WATER was underneath! It was a blessing in disguise. Although it does not solve anything long term, we do now that if we do not use the washing machine and the water goes away (and stays away!) that it was indeed the washing machine and we can get that fixed! Still must save up money to fix it.

As upset as I could be I am finding myself feeling a sense of calm that I cannot understand. Maybe it is because I know that God won't give us more than we can handle (even though I wish He didn't believe in us so much) or maybe it's because I am finally learning to fully let go & let God.
