Back Blogging

So I have decided to restart blogging after taking a hiatus. If nothing more than for us to go back and see how we have grown as a family and how our faith has gotten us through some tough times as well as joyous ones.

Just a quick overview:

PJ has been unemployed since November 2010. We fought for unemployment and won after 3 months and time in court. God has graciously helped us along the way and we have been able to keep our house and pay our bills. PJ has also grown as a father, husband and his faith has grown tremendously. Every day I see changes in him and even though it has been tough him not working, I think that these past months have been the best thing possible!

Phillip has turned 5 and he is now officially being home schooled. We want to teach him to grow up respecting adults, peers and himself. We want him to know that what is happening in the world needs not change who he is, and he needs to look to God and be a responsible young boy, but also have a lot of  fun and a happy childhood! We have used Love & Logic to teach him empathy and "discipline" but overall he is such a good boy! I love him to pieces!! Even if he still sleeps in our room! (A WHOLE other story :] ) He is a  FANTASTIC big brother and loves his sister very much (& is excited for his new sister to arrive!!) he is very protective and loving.

Hannah turned 2 in May. She is my energetic fireball! She has a completely different personality than her brother! She has a lot to learn (she is like her Momma and has NO patience!) but loves with all her heart. She  can really surprise you! As she is growing up and we are seeing these changes my heart melts because she is so adorable. She looks up to her big brother and you can see how much she admires and loves him! She is talking a lot and its amazing the things she can repeat back to you, even if you don't think she listens. One of my favorite things is she comes over to us, grabs our hands, bows her head and says "mae-mem" (amen). Hannah has been good with the foster baby Cameron so I hope she is just as good with Sophie when she gets here!

Sophie: well we found out May 5th that we were unexpectedly expecting baby number 3! On July 30th we went for an elective ultrasound to find out ITS A GIRL! Her name will be Sophia "Sophie" (middle name to be announced at birth! I hope and pray that the pregnancy goes well and she is healthy. She is loved so much already!!!!

It is late and I can no longer stay awake! Off to bed. Goodnight & God Bless!
