"Quick" Remodel

Yesterday PJ and I spent first part of the day tearing out our old, rotted wooden sliding glass door. We also replaced the wood framing around where the replacement slider would go.

Then we made sure everything was level and we brought the replacement slider over and PJ lifted it in (all by himself!!!)

I say replacement slider because it is in no way new. But it is new to us! The seal is broken so the one side is "foggy" but you know what the best part is....It was FREE! Thanks to GaGa (my grandma) and Bob (her husband) who found it and brought it up to us. Our old door would let snow in it was so rotted. This one is already so much better!

Also we were supposed to have help from others putting this door in but for unforeseen circumstances we were left doing it ourselves. "Funny" thing is, the night before in our devotional book it said to pick a project to do it together and gave us a list of pointers and things we were to make sure we said to one another. That's why we decided to go ahead and do it ourselves! Guess what, it went great!!! We did it, and without help! I think that was the greatest feeling, knowing we completed something like that together and only spent $3 on a can of expansion foam!

God sure provides in things when you need them!
